Social value case studies

How BT’s Social Value team is making a real impact on the ground in communities across the UK.

To promote digital inclusion, the BT Social Value team worked with Tower Hamlets Council to provide free broadband connections to 187 families and 340 laptops for children starting Year 7.

Team Repair and BT teamed up to run a workshop for 60 students from local schools at BT’s London HQ, to have fun while learning repair and programming skills.

In one contract, we held 34 employability enrichment workshops for students in areas with low social mobility in the North East of England, helping them discover employable skills and plan towards their future goals.

Social value creates opportunities for communities, improves quality of life and wellbeing for individuals, and promotes a more sustainable and equitable future.
