With the GuardianUTM platform, you can outline access rules, policies and conditions for drone operators to take off and land on your property. Directly communicate the cost of drone flights to take advantage of another revenue stream.
You can also configure the platform to automatically approve or decline access and monitor flight plans, reducing the need for manual review and freeing up time.

UTM stands for Unified Traffic Management. It's an air traffic management system designed for automated operations and coordination of unmanned aerial systems (UAS), ensuring airspace is used safely and efficiently.
What are the benefits of managing drone operations?
In restricted airspace, you’ll gain full control over airspace activities, with greater safety and compliance.
If you’re a landowner, you can create a new revenue stream by charging pilots for access to your land for the take-off and landing of drones.
Can I decide who can and can’t fly drones over my land?
Airspace above privately owned property isn’t generally recognised as exclusive. Regulations primarily focus on controlled or restricted airspace, such as that surrounding airports, prisons, military zones, and power stations.
For drone operators, this means that while the sky may be open, access to and use of private land requires permission from the property owner. Securing land access permission is a critical responsibility for all drone operations.
As a land access manager, can I set my own rules for drone users wanting to take off and land from my property?
Yes. With GuardianUTM, you can define specific rules and conditions for drone access on your land. These rules will be clearly visible to drone operators in your designated zone on GuardianUTM airspace maps.
How does the drone operator get charged?
Once a drone operator’s payment card is linked and authorised, GuardianUTM applies fees automatically when a flight is approved.
How are the Drone Flight Management fees calculated?
Fees are determined by the type of zone: land access or airspace access. Land access fees apply when accessing private property, and are based on take-off and landing locations. Airspace access fees accumulate based on the zones crossed, and all fees are shown to the operator before approval, allowing adjustments to the flight plan.
When is VAT applied?
VAT and other sales taxes are applied according to local laws at the point of payment. In the UK, Altitude Angel can handle these tax payments on behalf of the zone operator – they’ll provide a detailed summary of taxes paid or due.
What happens if the GuardianUTM platform goes down?
Altitude Angel’s cloud-based system boasts high resilience, with robust redundancy and failover capabilities. It has guaranteed 99.9% uptime over a rolling 30-day period, and often exceeds this target. Altitude Angel handle all aspects of hosting, maintenance and upgrades, giving you continuous service improvements without interruptions.
What are the system requirements for GuardianUTM client software?
GuardianUTM services are compatible with most modern web browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari. For specific minimum system requirements, refer to your browser’s developer’s guidelines.
How quickly can the GuardianUTM system be implemented?
Your system can be fully set up within one month of onboarding. That includes detailed training, and comprehensive implementation support for a smooth transition.
