What is a DPS, and how can you access the range of contracts?
A Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) is an electronic procurement system that uses a list of pre-qualified suppliers, like BT. The Scottish Government has a DPS for the public sector, which can be used for a range of different tenders, including for digital technology services. Procurement via a DPS is a much faster process than a traditional tender process, meaning we can start working together sooner.
You can access the digital technology DPS directly through the Scottish Government. There, you’ll be able to secure contracts with accredited suppliers across three lots: digital technology projects, digital technology resources, and cyber security services. BT is a supplier for Lot 3, and our cyber security services can be purchased by public sector bodies including central government, healthcare providers, local authorities and third sector bodies.
