Depending on what problem you’ve got with Call Diversion there are a few quick fixes you can try.
Remember, Call Diversion is a paid for feature that you need to have set up. To get the service, check the BT Business call features page.
I can't set up Call Diversion
- Call Diversion is a paid for feature. If you've chosen this service, you'll see it on your bill.
- Are you using the right sequence of instructions, see How do I divert calls from my phone?
- Check you're not using outgoing Call Barring. If you are, Call Diversion won’t work — check by entering *#34#
If you have an old handset, make sure your phone is set to tone dialling. Press * or # and you should hear a musical tone. If there’s a click instead, use the switch on your phone to change mode. If your phone doesn't have * or # keys, or Call Diversion still isn’t working, try another phone.
If Call Diversion still isn’t working, report a fault online.
There’s an interrupted dial tone, but Call Diversion isn’t working
Call Diversion might not be activated. If you've got 1571 or Call Minder set up you'll hear an interrupted dial tone. If you do, try the steps above to set up Call Diversion.
If Call Diversion still isn’t working, report a fault online.
I can't switch Call Diversion off
Make sure you're using the right code. This should be the one you used when you turned Call Diversion on — it’ll be one of these:
- #21# - all calls
- #61# - no reply
- #67# - engaged
If you have an old handset, make sure your phone is set to tone dialling. Press * or # and you should hear a musical tone. If there’s a click instead, use the switch on your phone to change mode. If your phone doesn't have * or # keys, or Call Diversion still isn't working, try another phone.
If this hasn't fixed it, report a fault online.
