It’s easy to use

To start using Tap to Pay on iPhone, simply download the BT Tap to Pay app, sign up and start accepting in-person, contactless payments anytime, anywhere.

To take a payment:

  1. Open the BT Tap to Pay app on your iPhone and enter the purchase amount.
  2. Present your iPhone to the customer.
  3. Your customer holds their contactless card horizontally over the contactless symbol, or their digital wallet device at the top of your iPhone.
  4. When you see the ‘done’ checkmark the transaction is complete.
  5. BT will manage the funds and ensure you’re paid quickly and securely.

Built in privacy and security

Tap to Pay on iPhone uses the built in security and privacy features of iPhone to help keep your business and customer data private and secure.

When a payment is processed, Apple does not store card numbers or PIN information on the device or on Apple servers, so you can rest assured knowing your business stays yours. Access is protected by your BT or EE ID login and biometric login (Face ID and Touch ID).
