How does BT calculate the carbon footprint of my devices?
We have worked with our vendors to obtain ISO 14040-aligned Product Carbon Footprints (PCFs) for embodied emissions. We derive operational emissions from the typical power consumption of devices.
Can I only use the DCC for BT-supplied devices?
You can use the DCC to measure devices even if BT hasn’t directly supplied them to you.
Does the DCC automatically update my instance?
For DCC Basic, you will need to upload each new inventory manually to track the carbon/energy impact of your devices. For DCC Extended, this will be automatically refreshed for Cisco devices only.
