Summary of the recent releases are below.
For users
- Auto-detection of spoken languages during a meeting—iOS, Android and Web
With this feature, meetings have become even more user-friendly by automatically detecting the spoken language in real-time during a meeting—no need to manually select a language.
Behind the scenes, AI advanced language recognition system listens to the conversation and identifies what language participants are using. This allows AI Assistant to provide more accurate transcriptions and translations throughout your meeting. For now, the feature supports only one spoken language at a time.
This feature must be enabled by your organization administrator.
See Webex App | Auto-detection of spoken language.
- Notify the host if you join a meeting before them—Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android, and Web
If you find yourself waiting in the lobby, click Notify host to let the meeting host know you’re ready to join. The host will receive an email with a link to start the meeting.
If several people click Notify host—don’t worry—the host only gets one email. This feature is available in both default and custom lobbies.
If you join the meeting after the host has already started the meeting, they'll get a pop-up notification. They’ll also get a sound alert if they've chosen to play a notification sound when someone is waiting in the lobby.
See Webex App | Notify the host if you join a meeting before them.
- Experience a modernized in-meeting interface that matches the new Liquid Glass design for iOS 26 and iPadOS 26—iPhone and iPad
You’ll see updated controls, a refreshed layout, and smooth animations with translucent, blurred, and layered effects. This update makes it easier and more visually engaging for you to manage your meetings and collaborate directly from your Apple device.
- Enable AI Assistant from the meeting scheduler—Windows and Mac
When scheduling a meeting in Webex App, you can enable the AI Assistant to start automatically by selecting this option in the advanced settings of the meeting scheduler.
See Schedule a meeting from a space and Schedule a meeting from the meetings calendar, under Advanced settings > Scheduling options.
- Automatically share post-meeting content to Webex App—Windows and Mac
Toggle on Share meeting content in User Hub before a meeting, to automatically share all meeting content to invitees in their meeting recap.
The AI summary, action items, transcript, recording, and meeting chat will be easily accessible in Webex App, no need to search through emails or messages.
The meeting recap will only include content generated during your meeting.
See Get started with User Hub.
- Speaker volume adjustment alerts—Mac
You'll now receive a notification when speaker volume adjustments aren't available for certain devices in Webex App's system settings.
- Prevent hosts from leaving the meeting without ending it—Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android, and Web
By default, the setting, Allow meeting host to leave the meeting without ending it, is turned on in Control Hub. This means as the host, you can either leave the meeting or end it for everyone.
If your Webex administrator turns off this setting, you'll only be able to end the meeting—leaving it won't be possible. The feature will always follow the setting chosen by your Webex administrator.
See Webex App | Leave or end a meeting.
- Set up a meeting from an action item with Cisco AI Assistant—Windows and Mac
If your meeting summary includes an action item to schedule a meeting, AI Assistant makes it easy for you by suggesting a meeting time, duration, and invitees.
You can review these details, make any changes you need, and let AI Assistant schedule the meeting for you.
See Schedule a meeting from an action item.
- Enhancements to AI meeting summaries—Windows and Mac
Our new Enhanced layout for your AI-generated post meeting summaries, organizes your summary into two easy-to-read sections: a quick overview, plus a detailed breakdown of specific topics so you can see individual contributions and conclusions.
You'll save hours of time, as you can instantly catch up on what was discussed and keep track of everyone's viewpoints without digging through long transcripts.
See Post-meeting summaries with Cisco AI Assistant.
- Skip forward or backward by 10 seconds in meeting recordings—iPhone, iPad, and Android
If you missed a key point or want to jump ahead to the next highlight, you can easily navigate the video playback. Use the skip controls to move forward or backward in 10-second increments, allowing you to review content at your own pace.
