Frequently asked questions
What are cyber attack simulations?
Cyber attack simulations use realistic scenarios to help businesses practise their response in a controlled environment.
Who are the cyber attack simulations for?
The experiences are designed for owners and decision-makers at small and medium-sized businesses with up to 250 employees. They’re for business leaders who want to understand the threats facing their organisation and know how to respond.
What happens during the cyber attack simulation?
You’ll work through a realistic attack scenario and consider how your business could respond. You’ll explore how different decisions could affect business outcomes, discuss your approach with other attendees and receive practical guidance from cyber experts.
How long does an experience last?
Registration opens at 09:30, with the simulation starting at 10:00. The main event ends at 12:25 in Birmingham, at 12:30 in Manchester and Glasgow, and 13:00 in London.
Optional networking and expert clinics run until 13:00 in Birmingham and 13:30 in London.
How much does it cost?
It’s free to attend.
Will the experience be relevant to my business?
The simulation focuses on cyber threats that can affect small and medium-sized businesses. You’ll consider how an attack could affect your team, customers and operations, then discuss how your business might respond.
Will I be expected to take part?
Yes. This is an immersive, hands-on experience rather than a lecture. You’ll be encouraged to discuss the scenario, consider your response and learn from other attendees.
What will I take away?
You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of the threats facing your business, practical guidance and clear next steps to help you prepare and respond.
Do I need cyber security knowledge?
No, you don’t need prior cyber security knowledge. The scenario, discussions and guidance will help you understand how an attack could affect your business and consider the practical decisions involved in responding.
