FAQs
Do I need a particular mobile device to use MS Teams Phone Mobile?
If you’re wanting to be more productive outside the office, having the best device is key to a better experience. Also, with the release of iOS17 on Apple devices, models including iPhone 8, 8+, and X (and anything older) are no longer supported.
Do I need the TPM app or a smart phone for TPM?
Teams Phone Mobile can be used on non-smartphones, so you can still benefit from TPM - even if you don't have the Teams app. Naturally, the experience will be limited by having no Teams app on the phone.
Can Teams Phone Mobile replace my fixed line?
If you find it difficult to get fixed line access due to your location or distance from an exchange, Teams Phone Mobile could be the solution. Provided you have good EE coverage your desk-based Teams users could use TPM as a primary connection. In-building coverage boosters are also available if needed.
