BT Cloud Phone is a plug’n’play phone system designed for the small business that wants all the features of a system without the fuss of running one. (You’ll need BT Business Broadband to use the BT Cloud Phone System).

It’s cloud-based so if you move premises you can always take your phone number with you, wherever you move to.

There’s no physical hardware to install, maintain, or upgrade. All upgrades are automatic and free. And making changes to the system and adding users is simple with the online portal. 

You can use all of the features of the system wherever you can get an internet connection, so you can take your office out on the road with you.

Fully-hosted cloud system

You don’t need to buy, house, or maintain any equipment (aside from the BT IP phones). The IP phones come pre-configured so only devices from the BT Cloud Phone portfolio will  work with your system.

The system itself is in the cloud. You don’t need any technical expertise. 

As a fully-hosted system, we’ll help you configure it to suit your business and make sure that everything is running as it should. We take responsibility for the running and upgrading of the system. And as you don’t have a physical system housed on your premises, you don’t need to worry about the installation, operational, and maintenance costs that would normally be associated with an on-premises system.

You also won’t need dedicated staff to manage your phone system.    

All you need to do is plug in your BT Cloud Phone IP phones and you’re in business.

How easy is it to set up and what support is available?

What’s the difference between BT Cloud Phone and BT Cloud Voice?

BT Cloud Phone is a fully configured, plug ‘n’ play system for small businesses. Users all access the same set of features.

BT Cloud Voice is designed for the larger business. Engineer installation is available, along with cabling and LAN options.  Users access individually-tailored features.

What are the charges if I call abroad?

It depends which charge band you are calling. See attached PDF for more details on chargebands and prices.

International calls and chargebands 

How secure is it?

• Access to the BT Cloud Phone portal is password-protected, encrypted, and we continuously monitor accounts for suspicious activity. Your administrators can also limit your users’ permission levels and access to international dialling.

• We encrypt your calls to stop anyone being able to intercept or eavesdrop on your conversations.

• We host your BT Cloud Phone service in secure data centres, which undergo robust security audits (such as SSAE-16 and ISO-27001). All data stored in the data centres is encrypted and the data centres themselves are fully protected, both physically and virtually.

How much does it cost?

The cost depends on exactly what you want for your business.

How do I log into my into my BT Cloud Phone account?

The online portal helps you manage and control your BT Cloud Phone, from any place you can get on the internet.

What if I use more than my 500 UK minutes?

Or you can add the Unlimited Call Package for £3 per user per month. You would need either the Connect or Collaborate feature pack to do this. However you can upgrade to one of these from the Basic pack.  

What happens at the end of my contract?

You’ll continue to use your BT Cloud Phone service as normal.

However, if your contract has a minimum period of 24 months or longer you will no longer get the discount associated with your contract.

You’ll have a couple of choices:

  1. You can do nothing, default to a one-year contract, and pay the non-discounted monthly rental charge.
  2. Or you can stay on the discounted price by signing a new contract for BT Cloud Phone and start a new minimum period of 24 months or longer.

IP Phones

We have tested and configured all our IP devices to make sure they work perfectly with our BT Cloud Phone service. So to make sure you experience the quality of calls you'd expect, you can only use IP devices from the BT Cloud Phone portfolio.

All prices exclude VAT and are correct at the time of publication but may be modified from time to time. The BT Cloud Phone contract is subject to a Minimum Period.
