BT Local Business: Branded Telecom Ltd
Branded Telecoms Ltd
Andy and Marie MacGregor started Branded Telecoms Ltd in 2003 following successful careers in BT Business.
Their 25-strong team, based in Burscough, comprises specialists in broadband, mobile, security, data, convergence, and telephony.
‘We can supply networks, LANs, and a world-class service for computing, servers, licences and integration with mobile’ explains Marie.
‘We helped the Bodafon Caravan Park in North Wales. They had lines and broadband with various suppliers, and were experiencing poor internet connectivity’ says Marie. ‘We brought the lines back to BT, installed new ones, and upgraded the broadband to fibre. Now the park has one supplier, one invoice, and no more internet problems’.
'At Tradebe, a waste management facility,' she continues, 'we got around an unreliable mobile signal caused by substantial walls and metalwork. By installing BT One Phone, we provided an on-site PICO cell, which made sure their mobile signal was up to the job so customers can always contact them.'
‘We’re one of the longest standing BT Local Business partners. We’ve won both ‘BT Local Business of the Year’ and ‘BT Local Business Customer Service Partner’ several times', says Marie. ‘And we’re keen to help businesses across Liverpool, Chester, and North Wales be winners too.’

Businesses we've helped
Hotel, Health Club and Spa complex
The Thornton Hall Hotel had several phone systems in different parts of the business and poor internet connectivity. This meant different parts of the company couldn’t contact each other and using the internet was a little hit-and-miss.
We started by creating a good LAN network across the site, then we fitted a Mitel phone system for with an integrated DECT solution for the mobile workers. BTnet Leased Line and BT iNet Firewall solved the internet speed issues and gave the customer the ability to confidently host large conferences. Recently, we’ve helped them make savings by upgrading the telephony platform and moving over to SIP Trunk channels rather than ISDN30 lines.
When they first contacted us, Bodafon Caravan Park had various phone and broadband lines with other suppliers. Their internet connections were also patchy.
We brought their lines back to BT, installed new lines along, and converted existing lines from analogue to digital. On the broadband front, we upgraded them to BT Infinity fibre, which has helped solve the internet issues that were affecting both their offices and their clients.
