Merging calls in Operator Connect

Call merging lets you combine two active calls into a single conversation. Learn how you can merge a call you place yourself or an incoming call you receive.

Merge an active call

Merge a call you started with another call.

1. Open Microsoft Teams.
2. While on a call, start a second call - the first call will now be placed on hold automatically.
3. Then, locate the call controls.
4. Finally, select More actions, then Call merge.

Merge an incoming call

Merge an incoming call by combining the new call with the one already in progress.

1. Open Microsoft Teams.
2. While you’re on a call, answer a new incoming call – the first call will now be placed on hold automatically.
3. Locate the call controls.
4. Select More actions, then Call merge.
