Managing active calls in Operator Connect

Microsoft Teams provides simple tools to help you manage calls while you're speaking to someone. Learn how to put a call on hold, transfer it, or consult with a colleague before transferring.

Place a call on hold

  1. Open Microsoft Teams.
  2. While on a call, locate the call controls.
  3. Select More actions, then Hold.
  4. Finally, select Resume.

Transfer a call

  1. Open Microsoft Teams.
  2. While on a call, locate the call controls toolbar.
  3. Select More actions, then Transfer.
  4. Type the name of the person you want to transfer the call to.
  5. Select the contact.
  6. Finally, select Transfer.

Consult then transfer

  1. Open Microsoft Teams.
  2. While on a call, locate the call controls toolbar.
  3. Select More actions, then Consult then transfer.
  4. Search for the contact and select them.
  5. Speak or chat to the contact to confirm details.
  6. Finally, select Transfer.
