How to 'Consult then Transfer'
This option lets you speak to or message the person before transferring the call.
- While on a call, select More actions (…) in the call toolbar.
- Now, select Consult then transfer if you want to speak with the recipient before completing the transfer.
- Then, select a recipient to transfer the call to – search for a colleague, enter a phone number, or pick a speed dial contact.
- Next, speak with the recipient, or message them – Teams places your caller on hold while you consult privately with the person you want to transfer to.
- After you’ve consulted with the recipient, select Transfer to connect the caller, or Return to call if you do not want the transfer to proceed.
