Setting up voicemail in Operator Connect

Voicemail helps you manage how calls are handled when you can’t pick up. Learn how to set it up, customise your greeting, and control what happens to unanswered calls.

Setting up voicemail

  1. Open Teams.
  2. Select your profile picture.
  3. Select Settings, then Calls.
  4. Select Configure voicemail to open your voicemail settings. Here you can choose to:
    • Record or upload a voicemail greeting.
    • Set call answering rules.

Recording a greeting

  1. Open Microsoft Teams.
  2. Go to Settings, then Calls.
  3. Select Configure voicemail.
  4. Select Record a greeting.
  5. Follow the prompts to record, review, and save your new voicemail greeting.

Setting up call answering rules

  1. Open Microsoft Teams.
  2. Go to Settings, then Calls.
  3. Locate call answering rules.
  4. Choose how you want calls to be handled – you'll see three options, including:
    • Also ring another device or call group at the same time
    • If unanswered, send the call to a call group after a set number of seconds
    • Forward my calls
