Set up your 4G Assure

Here’s how you can get online – even before your broadband’s up and running.

Step 1: Switch on your new BT Business Smart Hub

As long as the hub’s switched on, it doesn't matter what colour is showing. Understanding the lights on your Smart Hub

Switch on the hub using the power button on the back. Only use the power cable that came with the hub.

Step 2: Connect 4G Assure

  • Plug the USB from the docking station into the USB port on your hub.
  • Take the cap off the 4G Assure dongle and plug it in to the docking station.
  • Place the dongle near a window for the strongest 4G signal.
  • When the Smart Hub light turns purple, you’re connected with 4G Assure.

 

Plug the docking station into the USB port on the back of the hub. The hub will light up purple when 4G Assure is working.

Now you’re online, connect your devices:

  • In your device’s wi-fi options select the name that’s on the back of your Smart Hub.
  • Enter the password that’s on the back of your Smart Hub.
  • When you’re connected, open a web browser on your device and use Smart Setup to manage your Business Extras.

You'll find the wireless network and password on the back of the hub. It's case-sensitive, so make sure you type it in correctly.
