Call groups and call answering rules help you control how incoming calls are handled. Learn how to set up a group of people who can answer calls on your behalf and route them if you’re unavailable.
Creating a call group
Creating a call group ensures calls are answered quickly and shared across your team.
- Open Microsoft Teams.
- Select your profile picture.
- Select Settings, then Calls.
- Find Call answering rules.
- Choose how you want your call group to help handle your calls – either ring the group as well as you (‘Also ring’), ring them if you don’t answer (‘If unanswered’), or forward calls straight to them (‘Forward’).
- Select Call group.
- Add users to your call group.
- Choose a ring order (All at once or In order, then arrange members in the desired sequence).
- Select Save.
