BT Business Call Essentials is a Call Plan that gives you cheaper call rates and optional call packages on your business lines:
- BT Business Call Essentials is available to customers with up to a maximum of 50 lines.

There are two call packages available with BT Business Call Essentials:
BT Business Call Essentials UK Unlimited call package
- The BT Business Call Essentials UK Unlimited call package gives you unlimited calls to UK landlines (numbers starting with 01, 02, 03 and 05) and unlimited calls to UK mainland-located mobiles each month for a flat fee per line per month.
- There are no charges for calls up to an hour long.
- If your call lasts longer than an hour then you pay by the minute.

BT Business Call Essentials International Direct Dialled (IDD) call package
- The BT Business IDD call package includes 2500 fixed IDD minutes (excludes IDD mobiles and some IDD countries) for a flat fee per line per month.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if I cancel my BT Business Call Essentials contract within the minimum period?
If you end your BT Business Call Essentials contract within the minimum period, we'll remove all the benefits associated with BT Business Call Essentials from the lines covered by your contract (including any call packages).
We'll also charge an 'Early Termination Charge' for UK Unlimited or IDD call packages cancelled within their minimum contract period.
Will I have a 'minimum spend commitment' with BT Business Call Essentials?
No. You can spend as little or as much as you want. And there's no joining fee either!
What contract periods are available with BT Business Call Essentials?
There are three contract lengths to choose from. The minimum periods are:
- 24 months
- 36 months
- 60 months
What happens to my BT Business Call Essentials optional UK Unlimited and IDD call package at the end of the minimum period?
The minimum period for a call package is 24 months. At the end of it, you'll no longer have a minimum period (so you'll no longer have to pay an Early Termination Charge if you cancel your call package); but the call package will continue at your current monthly subscription charge.
At the end of the minimum period, your contract will continue and you'll continue to receive the other benefits of BT Business Call Essentials, but you won't start a new minimum period.
What happens if I cancel my BT Business Call Essentials UK Unlimited or my IDD Call Package contract within the minimum period?
The minimum period for both the UK Unlimited and IDD (International Direct Dialling) call packages is the same: two years.
If you cancel a call package before your two years is up, we'll charge you an 'Early Termination Charge'. This is 50% of the monthly charge for each line for every month left until the end of the two years.
For example, if you cancel your contract 18 months into your contract, you'll have six months of the minimum period still left to run. So we'll charge you -
50% of your monthly charge x 6
What minimum periods are available for the BT Business Call Essentials UK Unlimited and IDD call packages?
They've both got the same minimum period: two years.
