My number isn't showing in Teams Admin Centre in Operator Connect

To complete the tasks in this article, you’ll need to be an administrator. Learn more about Teams administrator permissions.

If your (or another user’s) phone number isn’t showing in the Teams Admin Centre there’s a few reasons why this might be. Check them out below, and see what you can do about it.

Reasons why

The number port is still pending or hasn’t been fully processed

On the date of your number port, it can take between 1 and 24 hours for your numbers to be pushed into Teams. If the numbers still aren't working, please contact your account manager.

The user has a missing Teams Phone licence

You’ll need to check whether the user has an active Teams Phone licence and assign one if it’s missing.

To check if the user has an active licence

  1. Log in to Microsoft 365 Admin Centre, then select Active users.
  2. Select the user whose number is missing.
  3. Open Licenses and apps.
  4. Check whether Teams Phone (or a bundle that includes it, such as Microsoft 365 E5) is assigned.

To assign a Teams Phone licence

  1. In the same Licenses and apps section, locate Teams Phone.
  2. Tick the checkbox to assign the licence.
  3. Save your changes.

The number hasn’t been assigned in the Teams Admin Centre

Phone numbers need to be assigned to a user.

To assign a number, view our Getting and assigning numbers guide.

The Emergency address is not validated or attached

BT requires a valid emergency address before the phone number becomes visible. This is so emergency services know where to go in case a user calls in an emergency.

Please provide BT with a validated address and ask them to attach it to the phone number – you can learn more about this in our Emergency Calling guide.
