How do I configure my Wi-Fi and Guest Wi-Fi settings for BTnet?

If you have BTnet, you can switch on Wi-Fi and update your settings using the BTnet Wi-Fi settings form.

BTnet comes ready with Wi-Fi and Guest Wi-Fi settings to suit many customers. The table below shows the default settings, plus the available settings you can change them to.

This information will help you fill in the form and choose the right BTnet Wi-Fi and Guest Wi-Fi settings for your business.

If you want to hide any of your active SSID’s. Can be set independently for each SSID if both are active.

The following settings are only available for BTnet 500Mb and 1Gb circuits

Per client bandwidth limit

  • Unlimited
  • sliding scale of bandwidth steps

Unlimited

If you need to set the wireless bandwidth limit for a certain connected device (client)

Per SSID bandwidth limit

  • Unlimited
  • sliding scale of bandwidth steps

Unlimited

If you need to set the wireless bandwidth limit for a certain SSID, including limiting Guest Wi-Fi bandwidth

Scheduled availability

  • Disabled
  • Enabled

(with options then for):

  • Available 8 - 5 daily
  • Available 8 - 5 daily except weekends
  • Always available
  • Customer schedule

Disabled

If you want to make each SSID only available at certain times. ‘Disabled’ setting means SSID's are available all the time as default.
