Why don't I need micro filters with BT Business fibre broadband service?

We'll install a special faceplate at the point at which data enters your premises. It minimises any noise from telephone wiring and maximises your Fibre speed. Faceplates are less portable than micro filters, so you'll need to position the equipment either near your telephone master socket or at the end of a Data Extension Kit (if one has been installed as part of your Fibre order).

We recommend that you keep your micro filters, in case you choose to revert to standard Broadband. If you do go back, we'll give you instructions on how to remove the special faceplate from the master socket, and how to install your standard Broadband Hub on any voice extension socket in the premises.
