Assigning phone numbers in Operator Connect

To complete the tasks in this article, you’ll need to be an administrator. Learn more about Teams administrator permissions.

To assign numbers, you must have already requested them from BT. Once requested BT will allocate the numbers and push them into your Teams Admin Centre. If you haven't completed this step, see Getting and assigning phone numbers.

How to check if your numbers are ready to be assigned

  1. Log into the Teams Admin Centre.
  2. Under Number Management or Inventory/Allocated Numbers, find the number you want to assign.
  3. If the number is ready, it should show as Active.

Assigning a number to a User

  1. Under Users, select Manage Users.
  2. Select the user.
  3. Under Phone Number, choose the new BT number.
  4. Under Phone Number Type, set it to Operator Connect.
  5. Select Save.
