Voice Portal for BT Cloud Voice and how to use it

Using Voice Portal for Cloud Voice, you can record Auto Attendant messages remotely from any phone.

Once you’ve set up Voice Portal, you can add or update your business hours greeting or after hours greeting without logging in to the BT Cloud Voice business portal online.

How to set up Voice Portal for Cloud Voice

  1. Log in to the BT Cloud Voice business portal
  2. Select Sites and choose your site
  3. Select Features from the left-hand menu
  4. Under Portals and Bridges you’ll see Voice Portal, select Configure
  5. Tick Turn On Voice Portal Wizard
  6. Tick Use Voice Portal Wizard
  7. Give this Voice Portal a Name
  8. Select a Directory Number
  9. Enter a number for Extension
  10. Enter a Password of between 4 and 8 digits
  11. Select Save

You’ve set up Voice Portal for Cloud Voice.

You can now dial your Voice Portal directory number and extension from any phone to record Auto Attendant messages.

How to record Auto Attendant messages using Voice Portal

Once you’ve set up Voice Portal online, you can add or update your business hours greeting or after hours greeting.

If you have a Group Calling ID set up, then you can do this by dialling the extension from a Cloud Voice phone.

If you've set up a Directory Number on the Voice Portal, you can record a new message from any phone. Here’s how:

  1. Call the Directory Number you assigned to this Voice Portal when you set it up
  2. Enter the Extension for the Voice Portal
  3. Enter the Voice Portal Password followed by #
  4. Press 1 to change an Auto Attendant message
  5. Enter the Auto Attendant number you wish to change followed by #
  6. Choose the message you wish to record:
    • To change your business hours greeting press 1
    • To change your after hours greeting press 2
  7. Press 1 to start recording your new message
  8. To finish recording press #
