Group Paging for BT Cloud Voice and how to use it

With Group Paging for Cloud Voice, you can make an announcement out loud on every phone in a group. Group Paging is useful as you can let everybody know something at the same time, rather than tell them individually.

• How to set up Group Paging for Cloud Voice

  1. Log in to the BT Cloud Voice Business portal
  2. Select Sites and choose your site
  3. Select Features from the left-hand menu
  4. Find Group Paging and select Configure
  5. Select Add
  6. When you see a New Paging Group, enter all the required information, including assigning either a directory number or extension
  7. Select Save

   

  You've set up the first part of Group Paging for Cloud Voice.

   

  You now need to add Originators - the people who can make announcements to the group – and Targets – the people that get the Group Paging announcements.

   

• How to add Originators for Group Paging

  Originators can phone Group Paging to make announcements. Here’s how to add Originators:

  1. Log in to the BT Cloud Voice Business portal
  2. Select Sites and choose your site
  3. Select Features from the left-hand menu
  4. Find Group Paging and select Configure
  5. Select the group you want to add Originators to
  6. Select Originators
  7. Choose a Site and search using the magnifying glass
  8. From Available Users, tick the boxes alongside who you want as Originators
  9. Select Add
  10. The users you ticked will move into Assigned Users
  11. Select Save

   

  You've chosen your Originators. These people can now make announcements using Group Paging.

   

• How to add Targets for Group Paging

  Targets receive Group Paging announcements. Here’s how to add Targets:

  1. Log in to the BT Cloud Voice Business portal
  2. Select Sites and choose your site
  3. Select Features from the left-hand menu
  4. Find Group Paging and select Configure
  5. Select the group you want to add Targets to
  6. Select Targets
  7. Choose a Site and search using the magnifying glass
  8. From Available Users, tick the boxes alongside who you want as Targets
  9. Select Add
  10. The users you ticked will move into Assigned Users
  11. Select Save

   

  You've chosen your Targets. These people will hear any Group Paging announcements made to this group.

   

• How to remove Originators for Group Paging

  Originators can phone Group Paging to make announcements. Here’s how to remove Originators:

  1. Log in to the BT Cloud Voice Business portal
  2. Select Sites and choose your site
  3. Select Features from the left-hand menu
  4. Find Group Paging and select Configure
  5. Select the group you want to remove Originators from
  6. Select Originators
  7. Choose a Site and search using the magnifying glass
  8. From Assigned Users, tick the boxes alongside who you don't want as Originators
  9. Select Remove
  10. The users you ticked will move into Available Users
  11. Select Save

   

  The people you've removed can no longer make announcements using Group Paging.

   

• How to remove Targets for Group Paging

  Targets receive Group Paging announcements. Here’s how to remove Targets:

  1. Log in to the BT Cloud Voice Business portal
  2. Select Sites and choose your site
  3. Select Features from the left-hand menu
  4. Find Group Paging and select Configure
  5. Select the group you want to remove Targets from
  6. Select Targets
  7. Choose a Site and search using the magnifying glass
  8. From Assigned Users, tick the boxes alongside who you don't want as Targets
  9. Select Remove
  10. The users you ticked will move into Available Users
  11. Select Save

   

  The people you've removed will no longer hear any Group Paging announcements made to this group.
