Instructions for Three Way Calling, and Featureline: Three-way Call

Three Way Calling

Three Way Calling enables you to speak to two people simultaneously on the same call, thus connecting three different numbers.

To use the service you need a touch-tone phone switched to tone dialling. The phone must also have a Recall button.

To set up

1. Dial the first number
2. Press Recall and wait for the dial tone
3. Dial the second number
4. When answered, press Recall and wait for the dial tone
5. Press 3 to connect all three people

Please note: if you wish to speak to each of the other callers separately, press 2 instead of 3 when the second called party answers. To switch between the two conversations, press Recall, wait for the dial tone, then press 2.

To end both calls

Just hang up

To end the first call only

1. Press Recall and wait for the dial tone
2. Type 5

To end the second call only

1. Press Recall and wait for the dial tone
2. Type 7

Featureline: Three-way Call

If you chose the Featureline Three-way Call service, you can set up a call between yourself and two other people. You can keep both calls private and switch between them, or have all three people on the call.

To set up a three-way call

1. Call the first person you want to talk to, or answer the call from the first caller
2. Press the RECALL button
3. Wait for the dial tone
4. Next, call the second person by dialling either:
   • Their extension number, followed by # or
   • Their site location code and extension number, followed by # or
   • 9, followed by their telephone number, followed by #
5. Press the RECALL button
6. Wait for the dial tone
7. If you want to talk to the second person separately, press 2
8. To return to three-way calling, press the RECALL button and repeat steps 5 and 6
9. Press 3 - now all three of you can talk on the call

To talk to the two callers separately at any time during a three-way call

1. Press the RECALL button
2. Wait for the dial tone
3. Press 2
4. To switch between callers:
   1. Press the RECALL button
   2. Wait for the dial tone
   3. Press 2

To end a three-way call

If you want to end the call with both people at the same time, simply hang up. And if you want to end the call with just one of the people on the call, follow these instructions:

1. Press the RECALL button
2. Wait for the dial tone
3. To end the call with the first person, press 5
4. To end the call with the second person, press 7
