My BT Business Account

Am I obliged to sign up to use the account management facilities on BT.com?

No, however, if you want to manage your account online, e.g. pay BT bills, change payment plan or view VAT documents, you'll need to sign up and log in to make full use of these services.

What online services are available?

  • Pay your bill online.
  • View the total cost of calls since your last bill.
  • Get unlimited 118 500 Directory Enquiry searches.
  • If you provide us with some additional information you can also view your bill online, enabling you to view itemised bills, view an itemised list of recent calls, sort your calls by name, number or cost, and create graphs and reports.

How do I sign up?

Simply click the Sign up link on the My BT Business Account page. You'll need to provide us with your email address and account number if you want to manage your account online.

Where can I find my BT account number?

You can find your BT account number on the top left-hand corner of your blue BT bill, e.g. EA12345678. The account number is the first two letters and eight numbers (see below).

Where can I find my latest bill or statement number?

Every BT bill is numbered, and you'll find the number on the top left-hand corner of your bill. If requested, please use your most recent BT statement number when you sign up and create a profile (see below).

Where can I find my BT Mobile account number?

You can find your BT mobile account number on the top right-hand corner of your bill, e.g. GB00181522 (see below).

Who can use the online services provided by BT?

Anyone can use BT.com, however, if you want to manage your account on BT.com you'll need to be an existing BT customer.

Can new BT customers sign up for online billing?

Yes, however, please wait until you receive your first paper phone bill as you need your account and bill reference in order to complete your sign-up.

How long will it be before I can access my account online?

After signing up we'll send you a confirmation email after which you can access your account immediately. If you don't receive a confirmation email from us within 24 hours of sign up, please email us at ebilling@BT.com

What happens if I stop being a BT customer?

You can continue to use BT.com and maintain your profile. This will enable you to use 118 500 Directory Enquiries but you won't have access to any of the other account facilities.

Can I stop managing my account online?

Yes, contact us at ebilling@BT.com. You'll no longer be able to access itemised call details or view recent call information, however, there are advantages to leaving your online bill active.

How do I stop BT calling or mailing with details of products, services and special offers?

First, make sure you select the relevant checkbox in the email section of 'Your profile'. If you change your mind at any time, it's easy to opt back in. Simply return to the email section and deselect the checkbox. Or you can call us on 0800 389 2312 (SME business customers) or 0800 587 4687 (corporate and public sector customers). Alternatively, you can email us at ebilling@BT.com.

What am I agreeing to when I sign up to manage my BT account online?

When you sign up and create a profile on BT.com, you're agreeing to allow us to store and access your details only for the purpose of managing your account online.

How secure is my personal information?

We won't pass your details on to third parties without your permission. We comply with and are registered under the data protection laws in the UK and take all reasonable care to prevent unauthorised access to your personal data. You can read our privacy policy here.

Will my personal information be disclosed to a third party?

Your details may sometimes be shared with BT contractors or agents to provide you with BT products and services you have requested. However, we'll make this clear in the relevant terms and conditions when you order.

How can I make sure my BT account stays secure?

You should not give your details to anyone.

Can I trust you with my email address?

Yes, we won't send you unwanted email messages or junk mail or pass your details to any other organisation.

When will you use my email address?

When we need to notify you of any outstanding orders, faults or service issues. If you've signed up for online billing, then we'll email you when your new bill becomes available. We may also email you with news about special offers and exclusive trials, as well as your current services and others that may interest you.

What if I don't want you to email me?

Please let us know by ticking the relevant consent box where your email address is stored in your personal profile. If you change your mind at any time, it's simple to opt back in by returning to the same screen and ticking the relevant box.
