How to tell if your iPhone 6 is 4G capable and how to enable it

To use 4G on your iPhone 6, first make sure wi-fi is disabled, then:

  1. From the home screen, choose Settings.
  2. Tap Mobile or Cellular.
  3. Check Mobile Data is on, or switch it to on (the switch will show green).
  4. Check 4G is on, or switch it to on (the switch will show green).
  5. If there’s 4G in your area, you’ll see 4G next to the signal indicator in the top left-hand corner of the display. If 4G’s not available, you may see 3G, E or GPRS instead. These are slower connection speeds.

If you don't get any internet connection on the device through mobile data, check the device’s network settings.
