Accessing the Hub Manager using a Hub 3 or Hub 5

This article outlines how to access the Hub Manager when using a Business Hub 3 or Business Hub 5.

You can access your Hub Manager using a Hub 3 or Hub 5 by following the steps below:

  1. Open your web browser and type http://btbusinesshub.home in the address bar. Make sure you're not using a VPN connection as this can stop you accessing the Hub Manager page.
  2. Press Enter or your return key.
  3. When you submit or save any changes in your Hub Manager, you may be asked to enter your password - if you haven't changed it, you'll find your Hub Admin password on the bottom of your Hub.

Resetting your admin password

If you've forgotten your admin password, the steps below will show you how to reset it using each router's override feature:

Using a Hub 3

In Hub Manager when you're presented with the password screen, you'll see a Password Override button. Click this button and a new screen will be displayed. Now do the following:

  1. Press and hold the Wireless WPS button on the back of your Hub 3 for more than 15 seconds. This will put the Hub into Password Override mode. All three lights on the front of the Hub will flash blue. You then get two minutes to enter the required new information.
  2. Enter the Wireless key of your Hub as the username. This can be found on the label under the base or on the pullout Hub Settings Card.
  3. Enter the Serial Number of your Hub as the password. This can be found on the label under the base.
  4. Enter your new admin password.
  5. Re-enter the new admin password.
  6. You now have the option to enter a password hint, such as a word or phrase that will help remember the password - for example, "Mother's maiden name".
  7. Click Use password override and create new password.

Using a Hub 5

In Hub Manager when you're presented with the password screen, you'll see a Password Override button. Click this button and a new screen will be displayed. Now do the following:

  1. Press and hold the Wireless WPS button on the back of your Hub 5 for more than 20 seconds until the central power light starts to flash blue. This means that the Hub is now in Password Override mode. You've got two minutes to put in the required information.
  2. Your Hub's wireless key: you'll find the default key on the hub settings card on the back of your Hub or on the label under the base of your hub.
  3. Your Hub's serial number: you'll find this on the label under the base.
  4. Enter your new admin password.
  5. Re-enter the new admin password.
  6. Enter an optional password hint, such as a word or phrase that will help you remember your password (such as,"Mum's maiden name").
  7. Click Use password override to create your new password.

Changing your admin password

If you're already aware of your admin password, but you wish to change it the below steps will outline this process starting from the Hub Manager home page:

Using a Hub 3

  1. Click Settings.
  2. Enter your current password.
  3. Click on Admin Password.
  4. Enter your old admin password.
  5. Enter your new admin password twice.
  6. You can also enter a password hint. If you forget your password when you need to enter it later you can request the Hub Manager to display your password hint which should help you remember the password.
  7. Click Change password.

Using a Hub 5

  1. Click Settings.
  2. Enter your current password.
  3. Click on Admin Password.
  4. Enter your current Admin password. (If you haven't previously changed it you'll find the default password on the label on the back of the Hub).
  5. Enter your new Admin password twice.
  6. You can also enter a password hint. If you forget your password when you to enter it later you can request the Hub Manager to display your password hint which should help you remember the password.
  7. Click Change password.
