What is an IP address?

Think of an IP address as the address of your computer on the internet. It's a series of numbers that identifies your computer on the network. That way, other computers can communicate with you and you with them and then - bingo - you're on the internet.
IP addresses are either static or dynamic.

You can add a static IP address to your online broadband order from just £5 a month.

Engineer installation

We think that getting started with your new broadband is pretty simple. So when you order it, we'll send you a step-by-step guide to setting it up yourself (don't worry, you don't need to be at all tech-savvy).

But we know that not everyone has the time to do it. That's why, if you order a BT Business Hub, you can have one of our engineers come and do it all for you, for just £99.

If you want the engineer to connect more than one computer, they'll do that too. It's just an extra £35 for each additional computer that you want connecting.
