Setting up User Intercept on BT Cloud Voice
With User Intercept, you can handle the calls of any users who no longer need BT Cloud Voice - for example, if a user has left the company. You’ll be able to play an announcement on incoming calls, with an option to redirect to another user. For outgoing calls, the user will be advised their service has been suspended.
How to set up User Intercept
- Log in to the BT Cloud Voice Business Portal.
 - From the dashboard, select Users at the top of the screen.
 - Search for the user and click the settings icon.
 - Select Features on the left.
 - In the User Intercept tile, click the settings icon.
 - To switch User Intercept on, tick the Intercept incoming/outgoing users calls box, or untick the box to switch it off.
 - You can use the default system announcement which will tell the caller that “the number you’re trying to reach is out of service”. Alternatively, you can upload a custom announcement.
You also have other options:
New number announcementAnnounce a new phone number when someone calls the former user. To set this up:
- Under New number announcement, click Add number.
 - Enter a number, then click Save.

This will add a message to the end of the first announcement, so it tells the caller “The new number is...” followed by the number you just entered.
Transfer on '0'
Announce a transfer on '0' option, to transfer the call to another phone number when someone calls the former user. To set this up:
- Under Transfer on '0', click Add number.
 - Enter a number, then click Save.

This will add a message to the end of the first announcement, so it tells the caller “Press 0 now if you wish to be transferred”.
 - Click Save after you’ve finished setting up everything you need.
