Avoid missing calls if a Cloud Voice phone is out of service (User Intercept)

With User Intercept, you can take a BT Cloud Voice phone number out of service and give a message to anyone who calls it, or route the call to another number.

  1. Sign in to the BT Cloud Voice Business portal
  2. Select the ‘Employee’ menu
  3. Select ’Features’ from the menu on the left hand side
  4. Select ‘User Intercept’ and then ‘User Intercept’
  5. Select ‘Configure’
  6. Check the ‘Intercept All Incoming Calls’ box
  7. To give callers a message with an alternative number to dial, check the ‘Play New Telephone Number’ and enter the new number in the ‘New Phone Number’ box
  8. To give callers an option to transfer to a different number, check ‘Transfer On ‘0’ and enter the number you want to transfer calls to
  9. Check ‘Use Personal Announcement’ to upload a personal announcement rather than using the system default
