Setting up Simultaneous Ring on BT Cloud Voice
What is Simultaneous Ring?
Simultaneous Ring is a BT Cloud Voice feature that allows an incoming call to ring up to ten devices at the same time, rather than just a single device. This can help your business avoid missing calls, and ensure that calls are answered quickly too.
How to set up Simultaneous Ring
Watch our YouTube video to learn how to set up Simultaneous Ring using the BT Cloud Voice Business Portal, or follow the steps below.
- Log in to the BT Cloud Voice Business Portal.
- From the dashboard, select Users at the top of the screen.
- Search for the user and click the settings icon.
- Select Features on the left.
- In the Simultaneous ring tile, click the settings icon.
- Click Add number.
- Type in the phone number of the device you’d also like to ring when your primary device is called. You can add up to ten numbers.
- If you want unanswered calls to be redirected to your primary device’s voicemail rather than this device, tick the Answer confirmation required box.
- Click Save.
- You can also tick the box Don't ring my simultaneous numbers when I'm already on a call. This will send callers to voicemail when you're already on a call, rather than calling the other numbers.
If any of the devices are offline
If you set up Simultaneous Ring and one of the devices from the numbers you’ve added are offline - for example, they're out of battery or disconnected from internet - then none of the phones in the list will ring. You’ll have to remove this number from the Simultaneous Ring phone numbers list to resolve this.
If you add any mobile numbers
You can add a mobile number into the Simultaneous Ring phone numbers list, however this feature may not be supported by the calling party’s mobile network provider.
Please contact your communication provider if you are experiencing issues.
