There are 2 ways to set this up on the MN3300.
For BRI/ISDN2e lines only follow these steps:
-
Log in to your Mitel system. If you don't know how to do this please see How do I connect to my MN3300 system?
-
Go to User & Devices, Telephone Directory Management and then the Associated Directory Numbers form.
-
Click Add and make your changes.
Note: 200 refers to the telephone directory number of your extension etc. -
The associated number is the one which will be presented to the called party when you dial out i.e.
Directory Number - 200
Associated type - CPN Sub
Associated Number - 0113 234 5678
Or for BRI/ISDN2e & PRI/ISDN30 lines follow these steps:
-
Log in to your Mitel system. If you don't know how to do this please see How do I connect to my MN3300 system?
-
Go to Trunks, Digital, ISDN and then Outgoing Call Characteristics.
-
Select the DID Range for CPN form.
-
Highlight an Index number, click Change.
-
Make your entries on the form i.e.
Index - 1
DID Range - 200 - 210 or 210
CPN Substitution (Number to show) - 0113 234 5XXX or 345XXXAgain as in the example above, 200-210 refers to your extn number range you wish to set.
-
Go to Trunks, Digital, ISDN and then Outgoing Call Characteristics.
-
Select the CPN Substitution form.
-
When the DID Ranges window loads click Add Member.
-
Add the index number you have set up above to the ISDN trunks you wish to use.
-
Now give it a test, if it doesn't work, reduce the number of digits entered in the CPN Substitution, i.e. 345XXX to 45XXX
-
If reducing the number of digits doesn't work, make sure you have the DDI assigned to the main trunk number.
