How can I remotely access my voicemail messages on the BT Quantum?

You can remotely access voicemail messages, even from a mobile phone. In order to access your extension voicemail remotely you must have your calls diverted to your voicemail, and have;

  • A number programmed to ring directly at your extension (sometime referred to as a DDI).
  • Or a line programmed with Auto Attendant.
  • Or a dedicated DDI number programmed to access the voice mail.

To retrieve voicemail messages remotely, dial through to your extension in the following way:

  1. Dial the number, if a number is programmed to ring directly at your extension, or dial the Auto Attendant number, and dial your extension number when you receive the Auto Attendant greeting or dial the DDI number that is answered by the voice mail.
  2. When answered by your voicemail greeting, access your voicemail by dialling * followed by your extension number, voicemail password and #.

When accessing voicemail you may dial the following codes to access and manage your voicemail. When your call has been answered by your mailbox greeting:

  1. Access your voice mail by *dialling .
  2. Enter your extension number. If accessing the system voicemail box dial 0.
  3. Enter your voice mail password, then press #.
  4. Then dial the following numbers to access your messages while listening to the greeting:
  • Dial 0 - Mailbox options

  • Dial 1 - Replay messages

  • Dial 3 - Advanced options

  • Dial 4 -  Go  to the previous message

  • Dial 5 - Go back to start of the message including time stamp

  • Dial 6 - Go to the next message

  • Dial 7 - To delete this message

  • Dial 8 - Forward message to another extension

  • Dial 9 - Help

  • Dial * - Main Menu

  • Dial # - Exit

    When playback of messages has commenced:

  • Dial 0 - Pause playback

  • Dial 1 - Replays the first message

  • Dial 2 - Go back to start of message with no time stamp  

  • Dial 4 - Go back to the previous message

  • Dial 5 - Go back to the start of message including time stamp

  • Dial 6 - Play the next message

  • Dial 7 - Erase the message

  • Dial 8 -  Forward message to another extension

  • Dial 9 - Help

  • Dial * - Back 10 seconds

    Mailbox options:

  • Dial 1 - Record your greeting

  • Dial 5 - Change your password

  • Dial # - Return to the main menu
