BT Billing Analyst

BT Billing Analyst (BTBA) is a PC-based reporting application that’s free to use for BT Business OneBill customers.

It shows details of monthly BT bills through a variety of reporting facilities, and lets you view a basic summary or check detailed information on any aspect of a bill.

What type of reports are available?

There are four report categories:

  • Summary Reports – View reports on Usage, One Off Charges and Credits, Recurring Charges, Adjustments and Discounts.

  • Itemised Reports – Reports detailing the calls on the bill. Identify the most expensive calls made, the most frequent call destinations, calls to or from specific numbers, telemarketing calls, calls to Directory Enquiries, and a host of other targeted reports. This also includes the ability to highlight calls made outside working hours, and calls between company sites.

  • Private Circuit Reports – View reports dedicated to your Private Circuits. Individual reports are dedicated to each charge type, e.g. Network, Equipment or Maintenance charges. You can also view reports on each specific Circuit, Account-level charges, Part and Broken Rentals, and many others.

  • Mobile Handset Reports – Reports dedicated to the mobile handsets used by your organisation. View the most expensive calls made, the most frequent called numbers or calls with longest duration.

Other reports show all charges associated with each handset, all calls to or from a chosen number, call trends, a daily/hourly call summary, and more.

What else can BT Billing Analyst do?

BT Billing Analyst also includes various other management facilities, such as:

  • Phone book – assign names to any numbers for display on reports.
  • Inter-Site Management – Identify and name numbers within company sites, allowing analysis of call traffic between sites.
  • Call Tagging – identify calls automatically as Business or Private, based on the called number, call type or call time, or add your own tags, allowing you to monitor telephone use.
  • Password protection – limit access to BT Billing Analyst by assigning a username and password.
  • Mobile On-Net Management – identify On-Net calls from Mobile numbers.
  • Folder Management – choose where BT Billing Analyst stores its data, allowing multiple users to access the same information.
  • Create Cost Centre Projects – create separate projects for each Cost Centre, allowing you to analyse and review the costs for each Cost Centre in isolation.

The BT Billing Analyst suite also includes the following programs:

  • Bespoke Report Generator – create your own reports, using any filters you choose, that can then be saved and run against any bills.  Output reports to CSV or Microsoft Excel files.
  • Scheduler – select multiple reports from BT Billing Analyst and include them in a single batch that may be run in one go, at any point in time, against any bills you choose.
Automatically output these reports to CSV, Excel or a printer, or set up a distribution list to automatically email your chosen recipients.
  • Trend and Budget Tracker – set up budgets for your intended spend on communications and compare that budget with your actual spend over time, enabling you to exert greater control over your communications costs.
