What is Bill analytics?
Bill analytics is a state-of-the-art search-driven analytics tool. We've introduced it to My account to help you understand and manage your bills better. It's really simple and intuitive to use. You can quickly and easily produce reports to analyse your bills, and do things like:
- Search your billed costs and usage hassle-free
- Analyse 15 months' billing data and customise how you want to see it
- Add tags (cost centres) to numbers
Where do I find Bill analytics?
Bill analytics is available in My account. You'll need to sign in to use it, or register for My account first.
- In My account, go to Billing & payments.
- Select Bill analytics from the left-hand menu.
How do I search in Bill analytics?
It's easy to find the billing information you're interested in using Bill analytics. First open Bill analytics in My account and then follow these simple steps:
- In the tabs at the top, select Search
- Click Bill analytics on the left to reveal a drop-down list of all searchable fields
- In the search bar at the top, type in the fields you want to find and press Enter
What are Cost Centres?
Simply put, it's a way of enabling you to allocate costs in your organisation.
Setting up Cost Centres will help you to monitor, plan and control your spend in any way you choose, as you get to define the information. For example, you could create Cost Centres for departments, areas of the country or a mix of different options.

What is the BT Pinboard?
The BT Pinboard is a feature we've created for our customers in Bill analytics. It gives you useful insight into your accounts at a glance.
What information does a pinboard show?
A pinboard contains all your saved - or ‘pinned’ - charts and reports on a customised dashboard.
Can I change the BT Pinboard?
No, but you can create your own pinboard to show the information you want to see.
How do I create a pinboard?
It's simple to create your own pinboard. Then you can customise it by adding the reports you want to show.
- Log in or register to your BT Business account
- Create your report using Bill analytics
- Click the pin icon on the top right of your report
- Your report is now saved - or pinned - to the pinboard
Can I export my pinboard?
Yes. Bill analytics has been designed to be an interactive online tool. You can export the reports, charts and pinboards you create in png, xlsx and csv formats.
