Education solutions from BT

Technology has a huge role to play when it comes to educating young people. And it can make the difficult task of running a school, college or sixth form much easier. We want to help you use technology to deliver an inspiring education.

Reduce your costs

Whether it’s through cuts to funding or capital budgets, schools are being asked to do more with less. So we’ve designed our solutions to be both scalable and flexible – you get the support you need during term time, when it matters most, and costs can be reduced during school holidays.

Get all the support you need from one supplier

You don’t have to deal with multiple suppliers to ensure that you get the best solution for your school – we’ll take care of everything so you can concentrate on what really matters.

We know and understand education, and have an excellent range of products and services from across BT that can work together to give you exactly what you need. So let us suggest, implement and manage everything that will keep students, teachers, staff and parents connected.

Meet our education specialists

As your BT Local Business, we can bring BT’s technology and services to your door - being local gives us unique insight.

As well as knowing all about the goals that the government sets in education, our specialists understand the challenges you face in achieving them. They’re the link between your school’s aims and targets, and the technology and services that we can provide – and they’ll work with you to create tailored solutions to meet your needs.

Support your curriculum with our Tech Literacy campaign

At BT, we use our experience and expertise to run a number of programmes that help teachers, students and parents get the very best from the curriculum. And we’ve made it our ambition to reach five million young people by 2020 through our Tech Literacy campaign.

There are three main parts to our campaign for your school or college to get involved in:

1. Inspiring and empowering teachers

The Barefoot Computing Project offers free, fun computing teaching resources and workshops for primary teachers – giving them the confidence to help children thrive in a digital world.

2. Getting young people ready for the workplace

Our Work Ready programme offers young people aged 16-24 (and not currently in education, employment or training) work placements to help get them into the world of work. We also run one day Skills for work boot camps to help 14-18 year olds gain the skills they need to get a job.

3. Promoting STEM subjects

Our BT STEM Crew education programme teaches 11–16 year olds about the real-world application of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).
