Building Digital UK (BDUK) is delivering broadband networks to the nation. The Gigabit Capable Connectivity dynamic purchasing system (DPS) RM6095 gives local authorities a simple route to market. Using this DPS, you can procure fibre optic infrastructure and services, including both dark fibre and lit services, from approved suppliers like BT.
Gigabit Capable Connectivity DPS RM6095 in detail
Local authorities who have secured Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sports (DCMS) funding to deliver their infrastructure projects are required to use the Gigabit Capable Connectivity RM6095 DPS for these services.
The Crown Commercial Service (CCS) worked with DCMS to create the agreement to deliver three key service types.

Service type options
To provide a business-class broadband service to one or more buyer sites, as specified in the order contract. BT offers Enterprise Broadband (EBB) solutions for this service type.
To provide the necessary telecommunications infrastructure for gigabit capable connectivity services to one or more buyer sites, through existing market channels. BT offers Full Fibre Infrastructure Build (FFIB) solutions for this service type.
To provide access to telecommunication infrastructure between two specific buyer sites. BT offers Internet Connect, Ethernet Connect, Optical Connect and IP Connect solutions for this service type.
How to order BT services for Gigabit Capable Connectivity DPS RM6095
- First, register as a buyer on the DPS marketplace. Although the pages are called ‘Supplier registration’, this is the right place for you to register.
- In the Technology section, go to Gigabit Capable Connectivity DPS
- Choose Access as a buyer and confirm you accept the customer access agreement.
- Next you’ll need to view appointed suppliers
- Use the filtering tool to specify your requirements by selecting all that apply, and create your supplier shortlist
- Use your shortlist to run a Further Competition, so the DPS will identify suitable suppliers
- Invite the suppliers to bid against your detailed specification, evaluation criteria, and contract formula.
