How it works 

To get your gift card, you will need to be a BT business broadband customer.

Sign up to our referral program, and tell your business buddies via name share or your unique link.

2. Your business buddy buys broadband

They will need to purchase BT business broadband via your unique link, or enter your full name at the end of the checkout.

3. Get your rewards

You will each receive your £50 vouchers via email once your broadband is connected for up to 30 days.

What is the BT refer a business scheme?

Our refer-a-business scheme gives you the opportunity to receive a £50 gift voucher when you refer a new BT customer to us. Both you (the referrer) and the business buddy that you refer (referee) will receive a £50 gift voucher of your choice.

How do I refer a business?

To refer a business buddy you need to firstly sign up to our refer-a-business programme. There are two ways that you can do this. If you are a new customer you can sign up whilst placing your order online at www.business.bt.com. If you are an existing BT customer or prefer to sign up at a later date you can do so by visiting BT My Account.  Once you have registered you will need to give your business buddy your name and email address as they will need to enter this when they place their order. 

Can existing customers join the scheme?

Yes of course! Simply visit BT My Account to sign up. Please note that you will only earn vouchers for referring new business broadband customers.

What does my business buddy need to do?

When you register for the programme you’ll be shown the details that you need to give to your friend. This will be your name and in some instances your email address. Please make sure that you give them the details exactly as they appear on our website so that they match our records. Your business buddy will need to enter these details when they place their own order. Please note that the business buddy you refer must be a new customer to BT and must be placing an order for business broadband online. 

I have been referred by a business, what do I need to do?

You need to enter your business buddies name, and their email address in some instances, when you are placing your order. Please note that to qualify for the voucher you must be a new customer to BT and be placing an order online for business broadband.

If I place an order in person or over the phone, am I still eligible for the voucher?

To qualify for the voucher you must be a new customer to BT and be placing an order online for business broadband. You need to enter your business buddy’s name, and their email address in some instances, when you are placing your order. 

What kind of voucher can I select?

We have several retailers participating in our referral scheme and you can pick the type of voucher you prefer. You and your business buddy can choose different retailers if you wish. You will be asked to choose the voucher after your referred business buddy’s broadband has been connected for up to 30 days.   

When will I receive my voucher?

Both parties will receive their vouchers up to 30 days after the referred business buddy’s broadband has been connected. You will receive your vouchers via email from our voucher provider, GiftCloud. The first email you will receive gives you a link to select the type of voucher you would like. You have 90 days to do this before the link expires. You will then receive a second email containing your actual voucher. 

 

How many people can I refer?

You may refer multiple business buddies and will receive a reward for each qualifying referral. However, you may not earn more than 5 rewards within any 24-hour period, 25 rewards within any 12-month period or £1500 of reward value within any 12-month period. There are also limits on the quantity and frequency of making referrals. If you refer more than 10 business buddies within any 24-hour period, rewards may not be given. All referrals are subject to a review and validation process. 

How do I use my voucher?

Please check the redemption Instructions and T&Cs of your chosen voucher before attempting to use it. The Third Party issuing the voucher may apply their own T&Cs to the voucher. Referrer Rewards The Referrer is offered a £50 voucher from any one of the following; Amazon, John Lewis, Just Eat and Sainsbury’s and BT reserve the right to substitute an alternative voucher of equivalent or greater value.  

  • The third-party issuing the voucher may apply their own terms and conditions to use of the voucher.  
  • The Referrer must be a BT Business customer and over the age of 18. 
  • Rewards will be cumulative; a BT Business customer may refer multiple business Buddies and will receive a reward for each qualifying referral made to BT. A Referrer may not earn more than 5 rewards within any 24-hour period or 25 rewards within any 12-month period or 1500 GBP of reward value within any 12-month period.  
  • If a Referrer refers more than 10 business buddies within any 24-hour period, rewards may not be given automatically to referred business buddy or the referrer as the referral will need to be reviewed and approved.  
  • As part of signing up to the referral scheme the necessary details will be passed on to a Third Party for the purposes of issuing your reward. 
  • Rewards for BT Broadband orders will be delivered by email from a Third Party up to 30 days after the referred business buddies broadband has been connected.  
  • Rewards for BT broadband orders will be delivered by email from a Third Party once the qualifying connection has been on the network for more than 30 days. 
  • The Referrer will receive an email once a Referred Business Buddy has made a qualifying purchase and another when the reward has been earned. 
  • The Referrer must provide the same email address as on their BT Business Account to qualify for the reward. 
  • Only orders placed online will qualify for the reward, your order must include BT broadband. Orders placed by phone or in store will not be eligible for the voucher.  
  • The reward is non-transferable and non-exchangeable. The reward must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the Referrer is unable to use the voucher. The reward is not exchangeable for cash or other goods or services.  
  • In the event of fraud, abuse, and/or an error affecting the proper operation of the referral promotion, BT reserves the right to end or suspend the promotion; and/or amend these terms and conditions. 
  • All referrals are subject to a review and validation process, the Referrer will not receive a voucher until someone reviews and approves the application. 
  • BT reserves the right to refuse the issue of any reward to any Referrer at any time. 
  • BT reserves the right to vary all elements of this offer at any time without notice. 

 

Referred Business Buddy Rewards 

  • The referred business buddy is offered a £50 voucher from any one of the following; Amazon, John Lewis, Just Eat and Sainsbury’s after they have made their first qualifying purchase and BT reserves the right to substitute an alternative voucher of equivalent or greater value. 
  • For the referred business buddy to qualify for the reward, they must be a new BT business customer, taking a new connection for BT Business Broadband for a minimum of 24 months and must not have any existing BT products. 
  • They must be over the age of 18 and not cancel their order before the end of the contract term.  
  • Only orders placed online will qualify for the reward, your order must include BT Broadband. 
  • The third-party issuing the voucher may apply their own terms and conditions to use of the voucher. 
  • Rewards for BT Broadband orders will be delivered by email from a Third Party up to 30 days after your broadband has been connected.  
  • Rewards for BT Broadband orders will be delivered by email from a Third Party once the qualifying connection has been on the network for more than 30 days. 
  • As part of signing up to the referral scheme the necessary details will be passed on to a Third Party for the purposes of issuing your reward. 
  • The referred business buddy will be notified by email when the reward has been earned. 
  • The referred business buddy reward cannot be claimed by the same person making the referral 
  • The reward is non-transferable and non-exchangeable. The reward must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the referred business buddy is unable to use the voucher. The reward is not exchangeable for cash or other goods or services. 
  • There are limits in place on how many and how frequently referrals can be made by any single Referrer. Rewards may not be given if those limits are exceeded
