Common questions answered

What does the engineer need before they install a new business phone line?

The engineer will need access to your premises to see how much work needs to be done. They will check for things like previous sockets and connections.

Can I change my installation date after I have ordered?

Yes. Simply call 0800 800 152.

Can I use the phone number that was in use in the office/building i'm moving too?

Yes, if the current occupier hasn't kept their phone number.

Can I move my phone line when I'm still within my contract and will I need to pay another installation charge?

Yes, you can move your phone line whenever you like. If there has been a suitable service in your new premises you won't need to pay an installation charge but you may need to if there hasn't.

Can I have a memorable number for my phone line?

We're unable to allocate specific numbers. But one way of getting a number that is more memorable for your customers is to look at our range of 08 numbers, you can also choose the number you want.

Can I keep my phone number when I move?

Yes, if you're moving somewhere on the same telephone exchange.

Unlimited Wi-Fi minutes

You need to opt in to get this service and have signed up for a minimum of 12 or 24 months.

  • You will have unlimited Wi-Fi minutes with all new BT Business broadband lines
  • You'll get a voucher which will enable your Wi-Fi minutes
  • One voucher will be issued per BT Business Broadband connection
  • You'll need a wireless-enabled device to benefit from Openzone minutes
  • You can use your minutes in hotspots if coverage is available

Capped calls

UK Landlines: - Applies to 01, 02 and 03 numbers only. Pence-per-minute rates apply after 60 minutes. 2p set up fee, fair use policy and conditions apply.

Adding the Call Package

This is available to customers signing up to the BT Business Complete 1p Offer.

It covers calls to 01, 02, 03, 056, some 055, 0845 and 0870 numbers, UK mobiles and most international destinations.

The calling package can be taken on any lines in the customers BT Business Complete inventory.

Monthly allowance of 5000 landline & international minutes per month combined and 500 minutes to UK mobiles

Broadband usage

Usage above the allowance (10GB for Basic Broadband) will incur.
