Reasonable Use Policy
The Unlimited SMS Allowance, Unlimited UK Voice Extra and the UK Landline Voice Extra Calls are available on the basis of Reasonable Business Use, the parameters of which are expected to be:
(a) For UK Landline Voice Extra - below 10,000 minutes per month per Connection;
(b) For Europe Roamer Voice Extra - below 1,000 minutes on all eligible calls per month per Connection;
(c) For Unlimited UK Voice Extra - below 3,000 minutes per month per Connection;
(d) For Unlimited SMS Allowance – below 3,000 texts per month per Connection.
We will monitor your usage of the Service. If:
i) your voice calls and/or SMS usage exceeds the above reasonable business use parameters in any month we may ask you to moderate your usage. If you fail to do so, we may suspend or terminate the Agreement or we may move you to a more suitable Tariff;
ii) your Blackberry Internet Service (with or without Satellite Navigation) and/or BT Office Anywhere data exceeds the reasonable business use parameter in any month we will charge for any data in excess of the above reasonable use parameter for the remainder of the month at the rate of £2.00 per MB
We reserve the right to modify the above classification of reasonable business use on 28 days written notice.
New Regulations Applied to the selling of Mobile Telephony Services
Ofcom, the Communications Regulator, has created new regulations to reduce the incidence of mis-selling of Mobile Telephony Services. The aim of the regulation is to ensure that customers are aware of the nature of their purchase and the relevant charges and terms and conditions, so at the point of buying a service they are making an informed decision.
As a seller of mobile services BT is obliged to provide information relating to the requirements to its customers.
The regulation, General Condition 23, came into force on 16th September 2009. The General Condition can be found on these links (see page 139 of 164 of the pdf)
