Online Starter makes it easier for you and your business to get an online presence.
Design and build of your site
By building your website and your BT Tradespace profile your business will benefit from not only a well designed customer focused website, but also a presence in an online community that brings businesses and their customers together.
Each site is tailored but we will typically build three key areas for you:
- a homepage with a description of your business
- a second page to highlight a main product, service or "about us" which may include info about your opening hours etc
- a "contact form" which your customers can use get in touch with you
We'll build the same content into both your Website and your Tradespace and help write search friendly content and choose effective keywords and meta data.
You will also be given a 30 minute training session, in which we'll show you how you can easily add and edit your content.
Get the right domain name
We'll also take care of the domain ordering and set up - You will be able to choose from ".co.uk" or ".org.uk" domain names as part of the package. Choosing the right domain name can have a big impact on how easy it is for potential customers to find you.
If you would like to choose a domain with an alternative ending, such as ".com" or ".uk.com", these can be provided for additional fees. Your consultant will be able to take you through the options.
We'll also create up to five domain-based email accounts for you, which you'll be able to access immediately through the business.bt.com website in the 'Your account' section.
Help improve search ranking
Your website and your Tradespace profile will work together which can help dramatically improve your position on search engines such as Google - Our consultants understand this and that's the main reason we'll spend the first session asking about your business and the sort of customers you're looking to attract. We'll then convert this into language and "keywords" that offer the best opportunity for your business to start to be effective online.
