Chief executive of BT Ben Verwaayen recorded an exclusive interview with Stuart Maister in order to answer your questions surrounding BT's business broadband services and other issues relating to small and medium sized businesses.

In a typically open and honest interview, Ben responds to a variety of questions, including those covering BT customer services. He highlights the importance of a reliable broadband service in terms of business impact and believes that honesty and speedy rectification is the best policy that BT can take, if and when mistakes happen.
Ben also discusses the strong broadband coverage the UK is lucky enough to have and explains why some areas have higher bandwidth than others, and praises BT's policy of offering price, performance, support and award-winning innovation to all its customers.
He goes on to talk about BT's efforts in providing clients with tailored broadband solutions, as well as 21st Century Network and the impact this is likely to have on UK businesses. Above all, Ben insists that the essence of BT is a commitment to offering quality, integrated broadband and communications services to small businesses in order to allow them to focus in turn on their own operations and innovations.
Looking ahead, Ben foresees the continuing drive and entrepreneurialism that allows UK small businesses to operate on a worldwide scale and to global standards becoming a performance goal for companies of all sizes.
