Local Rate Helpdesk Terms & Conditions (for Dial Up customers only) |
| 1. The BT Business Connect Local Rate Helpdesk (LRHD) is available to all BT Business Connect PAYG and BT Business Connect Anytime customers. This service is included as part of the BT Business Connect LAN services. 2. By signing up to the LRHD, either as a stand alone product or as part of a "bundled" product, you are agreeing to immediate provision and you can only cancel it in accordance with these terms and conditions and cannot cancel it under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. 3. These terms and conditions apply in addition to the terms and conditions you agreed with us that deal with your dial up internet access. While these additional terms and conditions apply, "the service" referred to in paragraph 1 of your dial up internet access terms and conditions is expanded to also include the LRHD service. So, all the dial up internet access terms and conditions will now also apply to the LRHD service, except that paying our charges for the LRHD service and ending the LRHD service are dealt with by paragraphs 5, 6 and 7 below. 4. The LRHD provides access to the helpdesk via an 0845 local rate number for support of our BT Business Connect dial up access products. This support is only available to the Primary User of each access account that has the service. Only one LRHD product is available to each organisation 5. In addition to your charge for internet access, you must pay charges for the LRHD set out in the price list located at www.btbusinessoffice.com/internetapplications/localcall. This price list is part of these terms and conditions. If you are a BT Business Connect LAN customer the charges for the LRHD are included in your subscription. 6. These additional terms and conditions for the LRHD can be ended by: a) us giving one months notice to you; or b) you giving us seven days notice if we inform you we are increasing our charges or changing the conditions of the contract to your detriment. 7. If you give us notice that ends, or we end the contract and are entitled to do so because you have broken the contract, during the first 12 months from the date that the LRHD is activated and available for you to use (other than because we have increased our charges or changed the conditions of the contract to your detriment) you must pay all charges payable for any remaining period of that 12 months. |
