Hosted VoIP (Enhanced)

BT Hosted VoIP is a managed hosted IP telephony service. It just uses a small amount of the bandwidth on your broadband line to carry telephone calls.

Call quality should be similar to a normal landline and it's very unlikely that you or your callers will notice any difference.

To get up and running you just need to plug any pre-configured BT Falcon (IP telephones) ordered with the service into your broadband router - it really is that easy and simple to set up Hosted VoIP.

Your Hosted VoIP phone numbers

Each BT Hosted VoIP line comes with its own phone number either from a range of geographic numbers (local or remote) or our VoIP number range starting with '05'.

However now you can also:

  • port your existing standard telephone numbers to your VoIP lines**
  • choose additional new geographical numbers related to various UK locations for £2.99 per number, per line

Notes

** Your existing telephone numbers on your standard lines will stay exactly the same and are not changed by BT Hosted VoIP unless you choose to port them. Note: Please read our Important information regarding VoIP.
