BT Business Broadband Voice (VoIP)

What is a geographic number?

A phone number that starts with an area code related to a location in the UK is called a geographic number. E.g. "01603" for Norwich.

Our standard BBV lines come with your local geographic number as standard or for a small monthly fee, you can even select a remote geographic number from across the country (subject to availability).

Benefits

Combining geographic numbers with your VoIP line can help your business;

  • Increase your national "presence" and look bigger by advertising several phone numbers associated with various UK locations
  • Appeal to your customers by advertising a phone number that is as central, rural, or local as you like
  • Customers may be more comfortable dialing "normal" numbers than unrecognised VoIP codes

Combine with BT Office Communicator, and as long as you have a broadband connection people can reach you on your chosen geographic number, wherever you are, even abroad!

Pricing

The price is £2.99 (ex VAT) per additional geographic number, per month, but remember your local number comes as standard. A twelve-month term applies and you can choose as many numbers as you like as long as the specific area codes that you want are available.
